New Puppy Checklist from your Breeder

__ Dog Crate. This is a must have for housebreaking and providing your pup with a secure place to sleep and eat. This is what he/she is used to. One with an adjustable panel (to adjust size of crate space as puppy grows) may help with training pup not to eliminate in the crate.

__ bed or blanket for crate. This will Provide your puppy with a place to sleep that will keep your puppy snug & warm. They will be very happy sleeping here. Place a stuffed animal in with him/her for comfort when you first bring them home.

__ Life's Abundance small/medium puppy breed healthy start pack (Link to purchase is under Nutrition and Care)

__ Private green space or puppy pads. Your pup must be isolated from the public environment and other animals it does not live with until 3 weeks post the time the last puppy shot is given. Your pup will not be fully immunized until this time.

__ Life's abundance bio deodorizer spray for carpet, upholstery, and all other surfaces. ( Check out my link, under Health and Care)

__ Chip bag clip to keep your puppy food bag closed and food fresh.

__ Recycle grocery bags to pick up after pooch.

__ Small puppy collar and Leash. Should be able to fit 2 fingers under collar against pup. If too tight for this, time to get a bigger collar.

__ ID tag. You can get one through CKC with your registration. You also may want to start thinking about getting your pup Microchipped for added safety as ID tags can pull off of collars. Dog Licenses are available at Shelters, and License Bureau.

__ As far as Puppy food.. I will be sending home some of the puppy food that your pup is currently on. If you change food brands, gradually mix in New with this to avoid upset tummy. I recommend feeding a Holistic food like "Life's Abundance"(a link for Life's Abundance is under the Nutrition and Care tab on our website.

__ Things to chew. Kong toys, cow hooves etc. Your puppy is going to chew. Save your furniture by providing him/her with something he/she is allowed to chew on

__ You may want to buy a small travel carrier to have when you pick him/her up if you are traveling a distance.

__ Life's Abundance revitalizing shampoo, gentle on skin and eyes.

We Love Our Goldendoodles.

Our puppies are family raised and socialized with our young children. Goldendoodles are a great pick for a household with children. They tend to tolerate the roudyness of kids pretty well. My adult male, Max, is so gentle that even our toddler has no problem walking him around on a leash. Our children love how playful our doodles are. They spend lots of time playing fetch, or soccer with them. Our middle child loves to lay with, or even on our parent doodles, and they are just as happy with it. In fact, the reason I chose to adopt goldendoodles into our home was because of the children. Their gentle nature made them an ideal choice, along with their tolerance, activity level, intellegence and trainability, and of course their low shed trait was a big one for us. They are also very loyal; they will follow you around all day. As far as protection, they will alert you if a stranger is approaching the house. They will walk or run with you for hours if you need a running partner. Anyway, that's why we love our goldendoodles. We think they make excellent family pets. :)
